What is the Online Treasure Cup?

The Treasure Cup is an online tournament where players compete in the One Piece Card Game for exclusive prizes and ranking. This tournament is an official Bandai-sponsored event hosted by specific tournament organizers (TOs).

The Booster Box is one of five "premium" tournament organizers in the North American region, which also includes Pro Play Games, Play!TCG, and others.

Players compete online via web cam using our Event Discord. For the Treasure Cup, there will be TWO Event Discords. We will share a link to that closer to the date.

Note: Our Event Discord is different from our store Discord.

When is the Treasure Cup held?

The Booster Box is hosting our Treasure Cup on November 23, 2024. Round one starts at 10 AM. Again, this will all take place on the Event Discord.

How do I register for the Treasure Cup?

Registration for the Treasure Cup main event has passed. You can still join the waitlist over on our Tixr page

Registration for the event is $30 flat. If you are on the Wait List and do not get into the main event, you will automatically receive a refund before the start of the event.

Note: Tixr is our current ticketing platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When will the links go live to register for X event?
A. We will make announcements on our official channels.

Q. Will the tournament rounds be held in this Discord, or is there a separate Discord?
A. We have two dedicated Discord servers for tournament rounds. You can find them here: BB Events.

Q. What is your refund policy?
A. Refunds are available if requested more than one week prior to an event. If within one week of the event, tickets made available from cancellations will be offered to waitlisted players. Contact us if you need to cancel via events@theboosterbox.gg.

Q. Where do I submit deck lists?
A. Deck lists should be submitted online only through the TCG+ platform. Decklist submission is required to check in for the event. Submission should be completed by 2 AM UTC the evening before the event. Deck list submissions will be made available once the event goes live in TCG+, typically one month prior to the date of the event.

Q. Can deck lists be edited after submission?
A. No, deck lists cannot be edited after submission. If a deck list is not submitted on time, players will be dropped from the event and must re-enter via the waitlist.

Q. Is there a waitlist for events?
A. Yes.

Q. How can I join the waitlist?
A. You can join the waitlist once the event is sold out. For online events, tickets refunded more than one week before the event will be offered to waitlisted players based on their position in the queue. For offline events, a waitlist queue will be formed on-site, and players will be added based on arrival order.

Q. Where do I submit my player name, address, TCG+ number, email, and other information?
A. Fill out the form provided during registration or ticket purchase. Ensure all information is correct and up to date. If you were unable to fill out the information during the ticketing process, a follow-up email will be sent out requesting your information. You must fill out this information to be eligible to compete. The required information includes:
• Legal First and Last Name
• Preferred Name
• Email Address
• Discord Username
• TCG+ Nickname and Membership Number

• Shipping Address

You can find the form here.

Q. What do I do if I accidentally purchased two tickets?
A. Please contact our support team as soon as possible at management@theboosterbox.gg with the subject line "Event Refund". Refunds for accidental purchases are handled according to our refund policy. However, if the event is within one week, refunds may not be processed.

Q. When will prizes be mailed out?
A. Prizes for online events will be mailed out within one week after the conclusion of the event. For offline events, prizing will be distributed on-site, and any remaining prizing will be mailed out afterward.

Q. How will I be notified about my prizes?

Q. What happens if my prizes don’t arrive?
A. If your prizes do not arrive or are damaged in transit, please contact us immediately with your shipping information. We will work with you to resolve the issue. Be sure to report any issues within 48 hours of receiving your shipment.

Q. Will the latest card set be legal for the tournament?
A. The latest card set will be legal if it has been released at least one week before the event or two weeks after a pre-release, depending on the game. Please check the specific event details for confirmation.

Q. What happens if I can’t attend the event after registering?
A. If you can’t attend, please follow the refund policy as outlined. For online events, refunds requested more than one week before the event will be processed, and your ticket may be offered to a waitlisted player. For offline events, you may be added to the waitlist queue at the venue if spots open up.

Q. The event is greyed out in Bandai TCG+. What gives?
A. Tixr, the platform where you sign up for the event, only captures the payment. In the future, it will also take your Bandai TCG+ number and other info, but for this event, we need to capture that information via Google form. (Even when it's captured at Tixr, it will still need to be manually uploaded as described below — you just won't have to fill out a Google form as an extra step).

Once you've filled out the form, we can upload your Bandai TCG+ number to the Bandai TCG+ app. We have to do this manually, so if there is a gap between when you fill out the form and when we upload new applicants each morning, you will not see it available in your account.

Q: I am frustrated/angry/upset about your policies or Bandai's policies and think it's all messed up! YOU SUCK!
A: We understand your frustration and appreciate your feedback. As a premium tournament organizer, our goal is to create a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants. We aim to provide clear information on the platforms, deadlines, and policies involved in the event. We encourage players to familiarize themselves with these details, including ticketing platforms, waitlist procedures, and Bandai’s policies, to ensure a seamless experience.

We’re here to assist and answer any questions you might have. To avoid any last-minute issues, we recommend reaching out with any concerns or clarifications at least two weeks before the event. This way, we can help you avoid any complications and ensure you have the best possible experience.
