It’s official: Standard is back at The Booster Box, and we’re here to make it bigger, better, and more competitive than ever. With the recent Standard rotation and the return of long-term support from Wizards of the Coast, now is the perfect time to sharpen your deckbuilding, brush off your favorite archetype, and join a thriving local scene that rewards consistent play and competitive fire.
🏆 Introducing the MTG Standard League
Starting now, every Standard event at The Booster Box will contribute to your Store League ranking. This includes:

Friday Night Magic (FNM)

Regional Championship Qualifiers (RCQs)

Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQ Play-Ins)

Any other sanctioned Standard events we run!
This league will run from set to set (starting with Edge of Eternities) and will track performance across all our Standard events. Whether you're battling every Friday or showing up for the big RCQs, your efforts will be recognized—and rewarded.
📈 How It Works
Each participating player earns points based on their performance in eligible Standard events. The more you play and the better you perform, the more points you’ll accumulate.
At the end of each league season, the Top 8 players with the highest point totals will receive an invite to our exclusive Standard Store League Playoff—a single-elimination bracket where only the best will remain standing.
🎁 The Prize
The winner of the Standard League Playoff will walk away with a Collector Booster Display of the next upcoming Magic: The Gathering set—a prize worthy of a true champion.
📅 Schedule & Details

League Season: Begins immediately and runs until the release of the next MTG set

Eligible Events: All in-store Standard events, including FNM, RCQs, LCQs, and more

League Finale: Date TBA (Playoff event will be held shortly after the end of the season)
